Here comes another glamorous event of the year 2012, the 84th Annual Academy Awards which will be happening on Sunday January 26th.

The event will be held live at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood California and will be televised on ABC 7 Los Angeles local television network.

This year's Academy Awards will honor the best films of 2011. The host was originally going to be Eddie Murphy.However, after Brett Ratner resigned as producer after using a gay slur when talking about rehearsals, Murphy also stepped down.

Billy Crystal will be taking over as host, while Brian Grazer takes over as producer. This will be Crystal's ninth time hosting the awards ceremony.
