A deadly dust storm caused cars to crush and led to a massive 80 car-pile up on A19 highway near the Baltic Sea Coast in Germany. At least five people are dead & dozens are injured. One of the injured drivers was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Witnesses said a black wall of sand blocked the visibility. As many as 80 vehicles were involved in the incident.
I have never seen anything like this before and it is difficult to describe. I think I will only later realize what happened. I think this is my second birthday today. The A19 is one of the major highways leading to the Baltic Sea coast. It is a popular weekend destination to residents from Berlin & further south. There are no speed limit to many of Germany's road way.
