The long awaited Memorial Service for Michael Jackson has officially been announced today Friday July 3, 2007 at 10:15 A.M on a press conference conducted at Staples Center. Public viewing will be at Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday July 7 at 10:00 A.M. where he was last seen on stage doing the rehearsal for his supposed to be upcoming World Tour.

The then speculations that tickets will be distributed to the public sold for $25 per ticket is confirmed to be untrue.Tim Leiweke, President and CEO of AEG delivered the most awaited details concerning Michael Jackson's Memorial Service. In his speech, he stated that :

  • * It was the Jackson Family's wish to create a service and a celebration that all of Michael's Fans around the world can be part of.
  • * That the family has made arrangements to provide a World Wide full Telecast of the Memorial Service to every network for free.
  • * The family has also made available seventeen thousand five hundred (17,500) tickets for Michael's fans to be part of the service. Eleven thousand (11,000) of those tickets will be in Staples Center. Sixty five hundred (6,500) of those tickets will be at the Nokia Theater for the simulcast of the funeral on three big screens across the street.* These tickets will be made available through fans registering at www.staplescenter.com as of this morning. This registration will continue until 6:00 PM tomorrow Saturday. * At that time, 8,750 names will be ramdomly drawn that will recieve two tickets each for either the Staples Center or the Nokia Theater.* Those selected will be notified on Sunday July 5th between 11:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. Those that will be ramdomly drawn will receive a code. They have to go to www.ticketmaster.com who will provide them about the specifics on the location on where to go on Monday morning to pick up their 2 tickets and 2 wrist bands.
  • * There will be no tickets sold for this Memorial Service. There will be no distribution of tickets at Staples Center or L.A. Live so there's no point going there. There will be no outside broadcast of the Memorial Service in or around Staples Center or L.A. Live. There will be a World Wide Telecast. Everyone is encouraged to join the Memorial Service by following the said telecast. There will be no Funeral Procession. This arrangement is quite a fair and square deal for Michael's fans. In as much as Michael's family would like to accommodate all of us in that particular venue but as we all know, it is beyond possible. In fact, his family have really made it possible for us but only through providing a World Wide Telecast where the world can join Michael's Final Moment.

Giving the tickets for free to the public is one of the best decisions they have ever made. Michael's massive fans around the universe play a major role in his public and private life and his entire career. Every single success that Michael has reach is credited to his God-Given talent, his patience and determination, to his entire family especially his father and of course to his undying fans. I must admit that even though Joe Jackson was reportedly abusive to Michael on his younger years but I do believe that all he wanted that time was the best for him and to the rest of his kids. Speaking about his fans, well, I should say that those free tickets will be the only way at this time for Michael to give back to them. Fans are everything to Michael. If there were no fans when Michael had just started in the music industry then there was no Michael. If no fans liked and bought his records by millions then there's no way Michael's Songs sit # 1 on the Music Charts, played on every radio station available and every event possible. They raised him up and put him on top of the world where he was supposed to be. Michael loves his fans so much and he definitely wants them around on his final moment. Everything is all about Fans here. Fans have adored Michael Jackson for his unspeakable talent, his awesome dance steps and tricks and the music he created that gives inspiration to the world. He was truly a legend. Being one of Michael's fans, his memory will remain in my heart as long as I live. I grew up singing his songs and adoring him for his powerful dance moves and amazing songs. I truly grieve for him passing too soon but half of my heart says it's ok because Michael maybe happier to where he is going. Anyway, the only choice left for me was to accept that he is gone though I find it difficult to accept. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe God wants him back becuase Michael had suffered a lot already or maybe he was really meant to live at 50 or maybe he could still be alive if not because of those people around him who alledgely provided him with drugs that according to reports might have caused his untimely death. Nobody really knows.Yeah, nobody really knows when a person is going... or how he is going to leave this material world . Michael Jackson's sudden, mysterious and tragic death is a Global Issue which also sends a Global and significant message that Life is Sooooo .....Unpredictable. We never know what another moment awaits for us. Now, we may be laughing..later we may be crying. Life is so special and deserves to be valued. One should spend every precious moment of his/her life being happy, loving, being nice, speaking nice words, comfortable and not being angry, hateful, not fretting and making wrinkles over anything that can't be helped. All Michael ever wanted in life was to "Heal The World" with his songs but instead all he got was a "Thriller" in his untimely death. I will remember Michael for his great songs and for his generous deeds and love for humanity and not for his mistakes. We must not forget the fact that even though he is the King of Pop, adored by Gazillion of people in the world, he is still human and bound to commit mistakes. He is truly a hero in our hearts but not a Super Hero that can fly from one tower to the other and can make himself disappear in a snap of a finger. He is also fragile and vurnerable like everyone of us. What he needed from us on the lowest moments of his life was patience, understanding, support and love to keep him going on his struggle in all degrees. Michael will stay in all generations. His music will live forever.

We Love You Michael! May Your Soul Rest In Peace.
