Is Paula Abdul Really Leaving The Show?

Rumors are pointing everywhere and the question on whether Paula is leaving or not  has remained unanswered until today. Could it be possible that this whole thing is just a publicity stunt on the idol producer’s side. Who knows?

Paula Abdul’s new manager David Sonenberg  said  Paula “May Not” be returning to American Idol this season. An agreement has not been reached yet between her and the producers. There’s no contract offered yet.  Paula is said to be negotiating a staggering $20 million a year contract to remain on the show and this negotiation is still on battle.

Simon Cowell made it clear on his interview with Terri Seymoure that he wants Paula on the show. 

Ryan Seacrest twitted Paula saying : Love u PA can’t imagine idol without you!!

Ryan is hopeful to see the whole gang back together this season. Ryan has reportedly signed a "Big Fat" 3 year contract for $45 million. Ryan is worth $15 mills per year. Not bad on this shrinking economy.

Paula said in a quick interview that she doesn’t know what she’s gonna do and she’s taking her time. Well, she actually has a very little time to wait for a new contract since Idol Audition will kick in in August. Paula twitted to her followers over the weekend saying :

“I’m actually moved 2 tears upon reading the enormous amount of tweets showing me your kindness, love & undying support. God bless all of you!”

In fairness, Paula has built a strong foundation on American Idol and contributed a large portion on it's success. Losing her being one of the  significant components of the show will definitely create a decline in  its popularity and will post a risk on Idol's rating.

Honestly speaking, Paula and Simons antics really added spices to the show. Every time the show begins, everyone’s lookin’ forward on what Simon has to say to the contestants and how he's gonna deliver his words to them. Fans are asking “ Is Simon’s gonna be rude tonight?  or how will Paula react to every peeled off contestan, is she gonna cry? This kind of stuff really added excitement to every Idol night. Without Simon picking on Paula and Paula bantering on simon on the course of the show will be a lot less exciting and will definitely bring boredom in the air. No more lip locking sessions whatsoever. I don't think Simon's gonna lip lock with  Kara or Randy. Simon's Idol journey would definitely be less exciting without her.

Many people are saying that Paula is what makes the show. She has earned millions of fans world wide and if she'll not be sitting  on the judge’s chair next season then expect her fans to boycott the show and switch to another channel. If this happens, then Idol rating will take a  nosedive and opps! Idol has to prepare the life support, be on hospice and die eventually. "Bye! Bye! Bye" according to Mariah Carey. Beyonce is right, Paula Abdul is truly “Irreplaceable”.

If American Idol is not gonna rehire Paula Abdul for season 9 then I think it's gonna be a huge step backwards for the show.

So, think about it Idol Producers. Put her back on the show!
Have her sign her contract and let’s start the ball rolling for season 9 and have fun. We are just trying to have fun here while American Idol earns millions. We can’t embrace that fun without Paula on the judges’ chair.
