Japan is known to be one of the leading producers and contributors of high caliver devices & transportation systems to the worldwide mainstream technology.
One of Japan's popular expertise is in the engineering field. They never stop to explore the possibilities of a whole new world of transportation innovation especially in its railway system.
Today, Japan unveiled its fastest currently operating railway known as Hayabusa Bullet Train which is capable of travelling at speeds of 300 km per hour and will increase its speed by 20 in 2012 making it 320 km per hour (198 miles per hour). The train made its official debut on March 5, 2011 Saturday and was attended by Japanese high officials.
Hayabusa literally means Peregrine Falcon known as "Duck Hawk" in Norht America. It belongs to a carnivorous bird of prey family which is renowned for its speed, reaching speeds of over 320 km/h (200 mph) making it the fastest extant member of the animal kingdom. That is how Hayabusa Bullet Train is compared.
Hayabusa looks vibrant with its metallic color combination of Pink, Green & Silver where green is the dominant color. It has a long pointed snout which depicts its very own description of the word "Bullet".
Hayabusa travels twice a day on Tohoku shinkansen route between Tokyo and Aomori, a remote and lightly populated rural area towards the northern tip of Japan’s main island.
