In August 2010, it was announced that fans could enter a contest for an opportunity to be part of the movie by going to Justin's official website and uploading a home video singing Bieber's "That Should Be Me" song. Participating fans had also an option to send a photo or video with the theme " Show us how 'U Smile. The contest was made available whithin 24-hour time frame. The filming took place at his concert at Madison Square Garden for some scenes on September 1, 2010. His opening acts include Sean Kingston and Jessica Jarrell, Iyaz, Boyz II Men, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Ludacris and Jaden Smith who appeared and performed songs with the singer.
Never Say Never topped the box office by grossing $12.4 Million on its opening day on February 11 from 3, 105 theaters.
Justin Bieber is a Canadian Pop & R&B singer born on March 1, 1994 in London Ontario Canada & was raised in Stanford Ontario Canada. Pattie Mallette, Justin's mom became a single parent at the age of 18. She raised Justin alone but Justin carried his father's last name Jeremy Bieber and maintained in constant contact with him. Jeremy Bieber married another woman and have two children. Justin's paternal great-grandfather is a German immigrant to Canada.
Justin felt his musical inclination at a very early age. He taught himself to play piano, drums, guitar and trumpet. He joined a local singing contest at 12 years old in 2007 singing to Ne-Yo's "So Sick" winning the second place. Her mother joined the trend of uploading videos on Youtube. She uploaded videos of Justin's performances of his covers of various R&B songs for her family and friends to see.
The world's response to his videos were enormous gaining millions of views. He hit the popularity status and became a youtube sensation.
Meanwhile, in 2008, on the other section of the globe, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber's 2007 videos by accident while searching for videos of a different singer. Baum tracked down the theater where Bieber performed, located his school and finally contacted his mother.
His mother was reluctant at first because of Braun's religion which is Jewish. But after praying and consulting with her chruch elders, Mallette entrusted Justin to Braun's hands to fly to Georgia to record a demo.
A week after arriving, Bieber sang for R&B singer/songwriter Usher. Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher. Justin Timberlake was also reportedly in the running to sign Bieber, but lost the bidding war to Usher. Usher then arranged an audition with Antonio L.A. Reid of Island Def Jam Music Group, who signed Bieber to Island Records in October 2008 (resulting in a joint venture between RBMG and Island Records).
At this point, Justin Bieber's life has started. He moved with her mother to Atlanta Georgia, the home of Usher and Braun to start his Hollywood career not knowing at that time the he will soon become so huuuuge in a few months time in the entire universe. Braun became Bieber's manager. |
