Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi survived during the NATO airstrike while his youngest son Saif al-Arab and 3 grand children were killed Saturday.
Saif al-Arab was 29 years old, a civilian and a student who had studied in Germany. The airstrike took place at their Tripola house. The leader and his wife was in the house with other friends and relatives.
Gaddafi himself and his wife were reported to be in good health. There was no immediate reaction from the NATO confirming this incident.
Gaddafi appeared earlier in the television saying he would never step down.
