The rumor came out in May 2010 and she audtioned on the 2nd week of June 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

According to her on her interview with "The Gleek Channel, she was shaking during the audtion. While she was in Europe after the audtion, she was checking the news and read "Charice Will Be On Glee". She was skeptical about that news because she said she didn't receive any email from Glee for the confirmation of passing the audition. After 30 minutes, Glee emailed her "Congratulations". She was so excited and couldn't even sleep that night. Her role on that popular T.V. series was not mentioned on that email but she learned on the news that she was going to take the role of a foreign exchange student for season 2 which she finds to be really, really cool.

She was asked on a lot of her interviews about what she sang on her Glee audition but she hesitate to answer this question because it is Glee's policy not to devulge any detail about the audition.

The filming started on the 28th of July and she got the script on the 19th.

The pilot episode of Glee season 2 aired on September 21 where charice was seen having a showdown with Lea Michele, the show's lead star. The showdown happened in the ladies' room where the two performed the version of Lady Gaga and Beyonce's billboard topping "Telephone". Charice was sporting a nerdy look wearing a huge black eyeglasses and a hello kitty back pack. Another scene that attracted the most attention of the pilot episode was Charice's rendition of "Listen" which captured everyones imagination.

She is playing the role of an exchange student by the name of Sunshine Corazon. Charice's presence in Glee gives a an added impact to her ever growing career in the international limelight.
