The huge explotion was apparently caused by a gas leak. The leaking gas line cost 4 lives so far, dozens of injured residents, burned down lots of houses and lost properties.
Reports said, before the disaster occured after 6:15pm, a fireball shot 1,000 feet into the air over several blocks on the San Bruno Suburban area. The fireball scattered in the air and fell on the ground hitting several homes.
The balls of fire set the homes ablazed and frightened people who were seen running here and there, yelling and crying just like a scenario we usually see on movies. This time, we are not watching a movie but a real life scenario. Houses were eaten by fire in minutes. The wind was pushing the fire from one house to the other.
The heat was so intense that it melted some cars away. It was a complete hell of fire.
As of September 10th, 4 people were reported dead, 52 injured and 38 homes were burned down. The fire was fully contained by noontime Friday. Authorities are still conducting investigation for the cause of the rupture and searching for missing residents. Canines were used to smell possible cadavers.
