Taxi, an independent A&R Company has invited Kavin Hoo to talk about making great recordings with virtual instruments & Samples.
Taxi explains that one of the most common reasons that TAXI members don't get forwarded for Film & TV listings is that the instrument samples they use sound dated or just plain bad. Taxi cares about their subscribed musicians so they make sure this issue is being taken cared of. To address this concerns, Taxi has invited Kavin Hoo to share his knowledge and skills to all musicians in the world.
Kavin is an excellent composer/producer and creates incredible sound recordings with beautiful sounding samples. Michael, who will be hosting the show will be asking Kavin about what he uses (for each instrument), how much they cost, and how he uses his virtual instruments, articulations, etc.
This show is offered by Taxi for free and can be viewed via live streaming on the video player above.
The live broadcast will be today Monday at 4:00pm Pacific Standard Time and 7:00pm Eastern Standard Time.
Taxi is based in Calabasas California United States. It was founded by music veteran Michael Laskow in 1992 with the intent of helping songwriters, artists, bands, and composers get their music heard by record labels, music publishers, and supervisors of film/TV projects.
Taxi’s A&R team is a line up of industry professionals who are experts in a specific genre of music.
Interested musicians submit their songs to Taxi and and Taxi listens to every song submitted to Taxi and decides whether or not the song(s) are exactly what the industry listing is requesting. Many of the submissions are critiqued, and returned to the member with written feedback.
Taxi has over 10,000 members in all 50 States and in over 90 countries. Members of Taxi are sent an updated list of requests for music and artists from companies within the music, film, and television industries every two weeks.
